Meghan Mercier is a cellist, composer, and educator hailing from Chatham, NY. Passionate about education and access to the arts within her community, Meghan maintains a healthy teaching studio of cello students while working as Program Coordinator with the Hudson Festival Orchestra. Musically, Meghan draws influence from a myriad of styles from folk to free improv to contemporary classical. Her recent work is interested in musical storytelling via improvisation and indeterminacy. Meghan has recently performed in chamber ensembles and in collaboration with songwriters at Time & Space Limited, The Avalon Lounge, and Green Kill.
