4 pm - 7 pm - Opening Acts
Trio Candela (Juan Sanchez, Aimee Gelinas, and Dan Cohen) performs lively traditional, folkloric Latin music from the Caribbean, Mexico, Central & South America as well as original creations featuring guitar, conga, bongo, Latin percussion, and vocals.
Bangla Songs, performed by Henry Rashid and his daughter Valina
Hudson Ragtime Suite by Tony Kieraldo, composer and pianist

Rag: “Teddy Bears Picnic “ - John Walter Bratton, arr. Dan Paget
All attending children are invited to join “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic” parade, following a larger than life teddy bear (a brave volunteer in a bear costume) to a picnic blanket with treats for all!

Bonaparte’s Retreat/Hoedown - Stepp/Copland, conducted by Elias Miller, assistant conductor, with students from Stringendo, Orchestra School of the Hudson Valley.
Gospel Goes Classical: “Don’t You Worry” by Jonathan Butler, with Anneice Cousin, singer/songwriter and founder of Beautiful Racket, and singers Jessica Laddin, Lexi Beaumont, and Christina Dellea
Ashokan Farewell - Ungar/Mason with Emily Daggett Smith, violin
“Servicemen on Parade” – A medley of marches: arr. Richard Hyman
Hudson Festival Orchestra (HFO), a professional orchestra conducted by Founder/Artistic Director, Gwen Gould, will feature area musicians and special guest artists. Student musicians will perform with the orchestra, as part of HFO’s “Take a Seat…in the Orchestra” mentoring program.
We also encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn!
HFO seeks to promote Henry Hudson Riverfront Park as a community resource that contributes to a vibrant and inclusive Hudson. The concert will be performed under a large tent on the lawn overlooking the river and mountains, a short walk from town.
We hope to make “Hudson in Concert” an annual free community event!
